Lionel 6356 NYC Bi-Level Stock Car Rubber Stamped/Box

This is a Lionel 6356 New York Central Bi-Level Stock Car from 1954-55. This is the larger O-Gauge size stock car. It features metal trucks, operating couplers, metal wheels and axles. A unique feature of the long Postwar Stock Cars is the divided door, which allows the top and bottom halves to open separately. The car measures approximately 10 1/2" long. The first few production runs of 1954 used a larger printing of the letters 'Built By Lionel' (to the left of the opening doors). The earliest versions are rubber-stamped and are extremely difficult to locate. This car features these rubber stamped, larger printed letters.
